How to acquire your ACME credentials from Networking4all

To use the Networking4all ACME server you will need to create an account, request access, and generate your ACME credentials.
Follow the steps below to get started.

Create account

To use our ACME server a Networking4All account is required.

If this is your first time working with ACME we highly recommend that you try our test environment first.
Go to this registration page to create an account on the test environment.
Orders made within the test environment will not be billed and can only be created for DV certificates.

Request access

After you have created an account, you can request access to use ACME via the Automation tab by clicking on the Request access button.

ACME request step 1

Once we approve your request the status will change from Access Requested to To ACME.

Generate ACME credentials

On the screen at the previous step, click the To ACME button to enter the ACME dashboard.
Go to the Credentials tab and select the relation (organization) for which you want to generate ACME credentials from the dropdown.
Click on Generate credentials. A window will pop up asking you for confirmation, click on Generate to proceed.

ACME Credentials step 1

After this you should see something similar to this:

ACME Credentials step 2

If you went through all the steps successfully then you should now have:

  • an ACME KID
  • an ACME secret
  • a unique DNS record (referred to as the subdomain value)

Generating new ACME credentials will invalidate previously used credentials permanently but will not affect any ACME account that was created using those credentials.
To deactivate an ACME account please see the manage account page. For more information about what an ACME account is click here.
